Education

Software engineering first, then deeper into data and AI

My formal degree is in software engineering, but much of my learning outside the classroom has focused on data science, machine learning and applied AI.

IFRI, Université d'Abomey-Calavi

I completed a Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering at IFRI between October 2021 and December 2024. I graduated 2nd out of 84 students with a cumulative average of 15.26/20 as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.

My final-year project was EntretienIA, a real-time AI job-interview simulation platform. The project received a grade of 18/20 and was supervised by Prof. Eugène C. Ezin.

Artificial intelligence and data training

In 2024, I joined the EEIA summer school organised by Benin Excellence. I was selected among more than 7,000 candidates for one of 120 places, and I won first place in the programme’s programming challenge. During the programme, I worked on a marketplace chatbot combining Mistral, Rasa, RAG and Flutter.

I also completed the Africa TechUp Tour AI programme, where my capstone project was a RAG-based assistant for questions about Beninese public services.

Software engineering and data foundations

Outside university, I completed the ALX Software Engineering track, with work in C, Linux, shell scripting, data structures and algorithms. Through Ingressive for Good and DataCamp, I also followed a data science path covering data preparation, analysis, supervised learning and model evaluation.
