About
I build software and AI systems around real problems.
I’m Mathias Kinninkpo, a software engineer based in Benin. My work moves between full-stack development, data, and applied AI, depending on the problem I’m trying to solve.
I started from software engineering and gradually moved deeper into data science and AI through projects, competitions, internships and additional training. That path is why my work today can range from building a web product end to end to working on a RAG pipeline or a machine-learning problem.
I’m especially interested in systems that are useful in contexts I know well: public services, education, healthcare, local languages and tools that make information easier to access.
What I work on
On the software side, I work across frontend and backend development, APIs, databases and deployment. On the AI side, I have worked with conversational systems, RAG, multimodal AI and machine learning. I also keep a research interest in low-resource languages and applied AI in West African contexts.
I prefer work where the technical choices are tied to a clear use case. The projects on this site include interview simulation, public-service assistance, video dubbing into Yoruba, insurance automation and other systems built around specific needs.
